Blogging for students in Florida

Dec 12, 2005By Michael Stoner

Student blogs dish dirt about daily college life,” a story by Etan Horowitz in today’s Orlando Sentinel (12 December 2005) focuses on the phenomenon of blogging for students, with an emphasis on online diaries by students at Embry-Riddle Technical University and Rollins College.

As for the effectiveness of the journals, Horowitz quotes Kelly Russ from Rollins: “So far, the journals have been a success, Russ said. A survey of 145 freshmen in August found that 21 percent had read the student journals.”

And 31 percent of those students said the journals had a positive effect on their decision to attend Rollins, she said.”

Whatever. I'm not much interested in cutting edge but what actually works for real people in the real world. Does that make me a bad person?
