Higher Ed Web Design Gallery Debuts

Jan 25, 2007By Michael Stoner

In his announcement, Foss stated:

eduStyle is based on submissions so if you don’t see a site you can sign up for an account and submit it. You can submit any kind of higher-ed site not just home pages, but library sites, alumni sites, department sites, faculty sites, etc. Once it is in the gallery you can add your vote to sites that you like, discuss the good and the bad in comments, and add tags to help you keep track of sites in the gallery.

Good idea and nice execution—even though the cynic in me says: “Who cares what higher ed web designers think is good design? I care about what prospective students, parents, and other audiences think is good!”

OK, I’m over that now: kudos to Stewart Foss for launching Edustyle.

  • Michael Stoner Co-Founder and Co-Owner Was I born a skeptic or did I become one as I watched the hypestorm gather during the dotcom years, recede, and congeal once more as we come to terms with our online, social, mobile world? Whatever. I'm not much interested in cutting edge but what actually works for real people in the real world. Does that make me a bad person?
