I’m delighted to share more details on the 2013 Social Media and Advancement research that we conducted with CASE and Huron Consulting.

Cheryl Slover-Linett and I did a presentation at the CASE Social Media and Advancement Conference and shared highlights from the 2013 research. Here’s a live blog from the presentation by Mallory Wood and a link to the handout for our presentation. We had some excellent questions at the conference, which prompt me to say that all this data is new to us, too, and there is more do to understand some of its nuances. We’ll release a white paper this summer that explores it in more detail. Stay tuned to this blog; sign up for mStoner’s Intelligence newsletter; or follow @mStonerinc on Twitter to be informed when the white paper is released. This year, the case studies in the white paper will focus on uses of social media in fundraising.

Next, you can have a look at the data from the research (we can’t release the open-ended responses for reasons of protecting confidentiality). Here’s the topline report from 2013.

Finally, if you’re interested in having a look at last year’s white paper, here’s where you can download your own copy.

Whatever. I'm not much interested in cutting edge but what actually works for real people in the real world. Does that make me a bad person?
