Session #1: Google Analytics for Higher Education 

When: Tuesday, Aug. 16, at 2 p.m. EDT / 1 p.m. CDT
This webinar will last 90 minutes.

Higher ed communications professionals often have Google Analytics in their toolbox. But determining digital success takes more than counting clicks and pageviews. Actually tracking goal conversions or using segments to fine-tune your audience isn’t trivial — it’s a challenge to identify meaningful metrics and have the right configuration in place to make use of them to achieve your goals.

Looking at average time on site and bounce rates is important, but the real value of your Google Analytics dashboard requires more purpose and planning than putting the tracking code on your site. In order to examine high-value visitor activities and align them with established objectives, you need to make the most of your analytics implementation. The first webinar in our series is designed to help you move past the basics of Google Analytics to identify meaningful and actionable data that tracks back to your institution’s strategic goals.


Session #2: Google Tag Manager for Higher Education

When: Wednesday, Aug. 17, at 2 p.m. EDT / 1 p.m. CDT
This webinar will last 60 minutes.

Google Tag Manager, a tool that allows marketers to add and update website tags without editing website code, is established as a key piece of Google’s analytics suite. What can Tag Manager do for you?

The second webinar in our series takes a comprehensive look at Google Tag Manager. No prior knowledge is necessary! We will discuss what it is and how it fits into your analytics strategy, why it’s valuable, and how it can help you implement other key analytics features, such as event tracking.

Meet the Presenter:

Greg Zguta, technical lead, is mStoner’s most senior technical consultant and head of our analytics practice. An application development consultant since 1994, Greg has experience that spans the technology spectrum. He has provided technical leadership and project management on software teams for projects from eCommerce websites to business intelligence implementations. He recently consulted on a content management system selection effort for Swarthmore College and a website analytics project for Vassar College. Greg is the technical lead for projects with Loyola Marymount University, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and Saint Louis University.
