Hello, I’m Kevin.
A bit about myself: I have been interfacing with social media when it was managed through WWIV and a handful of 2400-baud modems (picture “WarGames” with Matthew Broderick) and have been building websites—primarily higher education, nonprofit, and eCommerce sites/applications—since the inception of Mosaic. I still remember my “discovery” of animated .gifs and knew, at that point, that the possibilities of the web were endless.
I have an insatiable appetite for any gadget and find that if I am not working on technology, I am playing with technology. Despite constantly looking to what the future will bring, I remain faithfully nostalgic—I still watch cartoons and am waiting for neon to make a resurgence.
During my studies, I obtained a degree in psychology with an emphasis on human memory and cognition—knowledge that I now put to good use when designing and implementing easily understood, highly accessible, and visually delightful websites.
Throughout the course of a project, I help provide the technical architecture required to integrate disparate systems in a logical way. My focus, however, is on customizing content management and search/indexing systems so that they are elegant, intuitive, and extensible.
