I joined mStoner in November 2007 as senior director of operations. It’s a fancy title, but basically it means I help run the day-to-day business. This includes:

ensuring our projects are delivered successfully
managing the company financials
establishing solid processes and tools to support the team
managing people

I really enjoy working on our client projects as well. One of the challenges that I’m excited to tackle is how we manage our projects and our portfolio of work in new and improved ways.

I’ve worked in IT for 13 years, mostly in software development, across consulting, start-ups and corporate environments. Prior to joining the firm I spent seven years at CNA Insurance in Chicago as director of application development. At CNA, I led a large team of software developers and played leadership roles on enterprise-level programs. I also participated in an organizational transformation and learned first-hand how IT portfolio management can work effectively.

I lived in Chicago for 28 years. By my unofficial count, I have seen over 500 baseball games at Wrigley Field and still have my Cubs season tickets.

I graduated from Miami University with a BS in mathematics and statistics.

I spent 10 years caddying at LaGrange Country Club. It remains my most valuable and formative experience.
