Ball State University
Challenge: Ball State University is a mid-sized Indiana school with an outstanding reputation, particularly in telecommunications (thanks to alumni like David Letterman) and many other fields. mStoner partnered the Ball State team to ensure that the design and content of their redeveloped website fully supported the new communications and branding strategies of the University, for audiences both on campus and off.
Solution: After working with the Ball State team to develop a project strategy, mStoner tested design concepts with high school students, current students, and faculty and staff of the University. The selected concept was carried into nearly 20 separate page designs for the new site. mStoner’s editorial and creative teams also produced more than 75 pages of content for the site. A project of this scope is complex and details number in the hundreds, but a close working relationship between mStoner and the Ball State team kept all the details in check. The mStoner team also helped the Ball State team review a variety of content management systems, and implement and customize the one that was the best fit in terms of cost, ease of use, and technical standards.
Result: mStoner created a strategy and design for Ball State that extended key messages to the new site. The relaunched site is unique, exciting, and speaks volumes about the Ball State experience.
