Randolph College
Challenge: Founded as Randolph Macon Women’s College in 1891, Randolph College faced two major changes in 2007: changing its name, and going coed. Transitions of this magnitude required careful planning and nimbleness, and Randolph turned to mStoner for help.
Solution: mStoner’s charge was twofold: to create a transitional site to help introduce the changes and to actively recruit prospective students, and to create a new Randolph College site to be launched as the official change took place. For both sites, mStoner’s creative team worked with the college on content as well as design, and transitioned the new content into a content management system.
Result: The new Randolph site, like all mStoner sites, is both attractive and functional. Most importantly, randolphcollege.edu achieves the important balance between helping to highlight the exciting opportunities available to new students (including men!) and keeping loyal alumnae enthusiastic and informed about the recent changes. We featured the historic campus prominently throughout the site, as well as the stories and traditions of the community. A content management system ensures that the new site can easily grow and change along with the college.
