Judges Reports: CASE Judging of Websites and Online Magazines, 2004

May 07, 2004By Michael Stoner

This year’s judging for the CASE Circle of Excellence Awards for websites (category 19) and online magazines (category 12) was held at Lewis & Clark College in April. Judges viewed nearly 200 websites in all.

Here is a report (in PDF format) for Category 19, websites: CASE_www_04.pdf. The report contains comments on the overall entry pool, as well as the winners.

A second report [CASE_onlinemags_04.pdf] focuses on online magazines, a new category this year.

I’m extremely grateful for the hospitality of Lewis & Clark College, which hosted the judging; Kari Chisholm, who organized it; and to the professionals from across the country who spent two intense days looking at websites and engaging in intense discussions about them.

Whatever. I'm not much interested in cutting edge but what actually works for real people in the real world. Does that make me a bad person?
