Apple to build screen reader into OS X

Great news for visually impaired computer users who are currently stuck in a Windows-only world and who could benefit from predicted lower costs from Apple’s OS X screen reader. Integration is also good news for software developers who will have access to open APIs to build new Spoken Interface applications. Of course, it’s music to the ears of web accessbility advocates as well. More choice for the user/consumer, and more audiences using standards-based communication.
