New Blog Launched Today

Sep 18, 2006By Michael Stoner

I wanted to register that we launched a “new” version of our blog this morning. The reason for the launch was that we’re switching to Expression Engine to manage the blog and-soonour website. We’re doing a major overhaul of our website-but our blog is pretty much the same. We’ve moved content and members wholesale, although we’ve cleaned up our membership list: we found that spammers had added spurious entries. And I’m taking the time to do things that I’ve wanted to do for a while, such as adding tags to entries and developing a list of recommend resources. I should warn you that I’m going through and editing entries for artifacts left over from import into Expression Engine and adding tags to the untagged entries from our old site.

I’ve also developed a Technorati Profile—again, something I’ve had on the to-do list for months.

I’d like to thank Debbie Weil for being the inspiration for some of the changes you see. I recommend The Corporate Blogging Book for inspiration and what it can add to your own to-do list.

Whatever. I'm not much interested in cutting edge but what actually works for real people in the real world. Does that make me a bad person?
