Meet Daniella!

Jun 09, 2020By Travis Koury

Please join us in welcoming Daniella Nordin, mStoner’s new director of marketing.

As director of marketing, Daniella Nordin amplifies mStoner’s thoughtful research, strategic success, and data-driven results.

She uses her passion for data to drive marketing strategies and increase engagement for mStoner’s clients and higher education professionals.

Daniella brings more than a decade of experience with digital engagement, social media marketing, online fundraising, and digital marketing to mStoner. Prior to joining us, she helped nonprofits like the Girl Scouts find their audience on the right platforms and the right times. She spent nearly seven years as part of the marketing and communications team at Skidmore College, where she built the social media strategy from the ground up and found creative ways to share student stories.

Daniella earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from The Ohio State University and her master’s, also in communications, from the University of Albany, SUNY. You can hear her broadcast live on Ladies ‘80s every Tuesday night from the Skidmore College radio station on 91.1 WSPN.

Daniella shared her answers to mStoner’s version of the Proust questionnaire.

Favorite book: It’s a two-way tie between White Oleander by Janet Fitch and A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle. You should also know that my Hogwarts House is Ravenclaw.

Favorite TV show: The Newsroom, Friday Night Lights (#TexasForever), Gilmore Girls (Lorelei and I are kindred spirits).

Favorite place you’ve visited: Yosemite National Park and Venice, Italy

Funniest tweet/article/social post you ever read: “How does Ariel know what ‘reprimand’ means but not ‘feet’” -@chrissyteigen

Greatest achievement to date: Moving to New York from Ohio after graduation with no job, no friends, and no family. Twelve years later (and a few bumps along the way), I have an established career, husband, daughter, dog, a house and a ride-or-die framily.

Your superhero: My mom. Single mom, two-time breast cancer survivor, and all-around good person. I always tell her she should write a book about the story of her life and she always responds that no one would believe it was true.

Your nemesis: Mark Zuckerberg. I don’t feel the need to elaborate here.

Your motto: “The future is female.” I want females to be inspired by other women, to have women role models, and to have opportunities to try new things in supportive environments.

Your greatest life lesson: Always take the high road. It isn’t worth it to stoop to their level because at the end of the day, you still have to look yourself in the mirror and know you did the right thing.

Welcome, Daniella!
